The Ballet Theater Company is seeking 4-6 professional dancers with strong ballet experience (including women’s pointe work) available for the 2022-23 season starting August 2022.
The company is looking for competent artists familiar with the classical, neoclassical and contemporary dance repertoire. Dancers must have the legal right to work in the United States to be considered.
The Ballet Theater Company is pleased to offer a bi-weekly competitive stipend, as well as a dance shoe/clothing stipend and additional compensation for special engagements and/or public appearances.
Interested dancers should send their resume, head shot, full body dance shot, updated performance reel and copy of COVID-19 vaccine card (dancers must be fully vaccinated. Reasonable accommodations are provided for those granted an exemption) at BTC Ballet Mistress Emily Silva at [email protected]. Audition requests will be accepted on a rolling basis until all available positions have been filled. Selected dancers will be invited to attend the company course to audition alongside current resident dancers at BTC Studios in West Hartford.

- 34 weeks of work
- Repertoire including classical, neoclassical and contemporary works
- 2 main stage feature films
- 2 Mixed Black Box Performances at BTC’s Ron & Nancy Compton Studio & Performance Space
- Gala-style performances
- Additional community snippet performances and appearances

The Ballet Theater Company enriches the greater Hartford area by providing professional-caliber dance productions, dance education for children ages 3 through adult, and free dance-related workshops for children who otherwise would not wouldn’t have the opportunity thanks to BTC’s community youth outreach program.
