Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater presents “Something’s Coming” this weekend

(OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ) — Axelrod’s Contemporary Ballet Theater present something is cominga program of suites from favorite musicals, including the lyrical, jazzy music of George Gershwin An American in Paris and Porgy and Bessurban and immortal by Leonard Bernstein West Side Storyiconic of Sheldon Harnick fiddler on the roofRodgers & Hammerstein’s perennial favorite The sound of music and more! Four performances will take place from April 8 to 10.

Directed and choreographed by Gabriel Chajnik, Something’s Coming will feature the professional members of AXCBT in brand new choreography that celebrates the greatness of their original creators: Gene Kelly, Christopher Wheeldon and Jerome Robbins.

Performances are Friday, April 8 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday April 9 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, April 10 at 3:00 p.m. Ticket prices are: Adult Premium $54, Senior Premium $49, Regular Adult $42, Student $26, Group $38. The tickets are available for purchase in line.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center offers free on-site parking for all guests. Parking is safe, well lit and spacious for cars, vans and buses. Handicapped parking available near the theater entrance.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center is located in the suburb of Ocean Township, although the theater is a short drive from restaurants in Deal and Asbury Park. The Bar Room and Kitchen and One 18, both located on Norwood Avenue in Deal, are less than three minutes from the theater. Downtown Asbury Park is also full of great restaurants, many of which take reservations for pre-theatre dining.
